Olive Pools Handwoven Shawl Wrap

I hand wove the Olive Pools Handwoven Shawl Wrap on a LeClerc Nillus II 8 shaft floor loom with a black wool crepe warp and a very fine hand dyed cotton weft. The colors in the cotton weft are red, aubergine and olive.  They pool and create patterns in an ever shifting and interesting way; this coupled with the pattern created against the warp threads creates a fascinating effect in the textile. It is very drapey and flowy.

This lovely piece is one of a kind. I enjoy complex weaving and I love to see the interactions between color combinations and to push beyond the accepted ways of playing with color and pattern. This is a perfect example of that play and discovery.

You can wear it many ways or even hang it on the wall or couch as decor.

Approximately  14″ wide and 76″ long excluding fringe.

Hand wash in cool water, lay flat or line dry.
